Lewis finds sounds of children laughing and playing to be annoying, obviously. I think he’d find any sounds of joy and laughter to be slightly irritating, but since kids find so much more joy in simpler things, he just can’t take it. He’ll have to sing more Debussy or something to drown it out, besides just putting acorns in his ears. He’ll have to get used to it somehow, though. I hear the tire swing is going to be around for a while…
