I actually did see a ruby-crowned kinglet yesterday. They're very small, and the males have a tiny red patch on the top of their heads. The one I saw was a female, however. They're pretty skittish, and don't ever stay still for long. I imagine whatever conversation Terry had with the one he saw was quite brief.
