One of the interesting things about watching other animals do things is that what they're doing probably isn't that interesting to them. They're just doing what they do because they always have. To us, who aren't them and don't ever do that, it's fascinating. Even watching them do things that we also do, like eating, is somehow more fascinating because we're watching them do it. That's the reason for bird feeders, to watch birds eat, and we watch them eat endlessly. I imagine birds must do the same with us. Jim and Terry obviously do it to see humans in pain. I wonder how many people have actually made it over that sidewalk without falling or dropping anything.
