I'm not sure who's winning the war for my mind. Often, my past self is quite a bit more intelligent than my present self. Other times he isn't, and actually is overly optimistic about how intelligent my present self will be. This is when problems occur, because while my past self will sometimes be smarter than other times, my present self is always at the same level of forgetfulness.

Normally my past self knows that me present self will prefer hand-written notes in order to remind my present self of things. Josh doesn't know how to write, so he ties knots in strings.
