I'm not sure if bird children make things for their parents (I'd be glad to hear from anyone who does know), but human children tend to do so. Though I've never had any children myself, as a former child I can confirm that those things were not made to last. I wondered if Edna would try to eat the necklace, it being made of seeds and all, but then I remembered that no parent really wants to eat the macaroni necklace their kid made for them. Also, who knows what they used to get the seeds to stick to the vine.
