My wife has this problem. Her name is Alice. For some reason, people always think her name is Allison, even when she tells them that her name is Alice, as if they’ve never heard the name Alice before. Or maybe they just don’t believe her. Maybe other people don’t, but when people tell me their name I normally just take their word for it.
