Jim is disappointed because, frankly, birds just don’t need to be afraid of eating rice. My evidence: Snopes.com. Apparently it is dangerous for people, though, if they happen to slip and fall on it. I think birds would be happier if people threw bird seed, though. It probably tastes better, at least in their opinion.
