Of course, Lewis has been unable to answer a number of Clarence's questions, but Clarence obviously has great admiration for him anyway. Lewis has more answers than Clarence does, mainly because it seems that all Clarence has is questions. It's a bit odd, though, that Lewis would be unable to answer a question like that one, though, given how introspective he is. I guess sometimes the mysteries that are the most difficult to figure out are the ones about ourselves.
