Quite a few animals eat eggs, actually, including some birds, but it's still really weird when you think about it. I guess waiting for a bird to grow up so that you can eat it takes a lot of time, and some of us are impatient, so we just go after the eggs instead of waiting. Of course, I like eating eggs, too, but I have to not think about it.
