I always put Lewis in whenever I feel like waxing either poetic or philosophical. I put Gramps in when I feel like being old and crotchety. I guess today I felt like being old, poetic, philosophical, and crotchety.

I also think it’s true that old people deliberately have less to think about. I mean, with so little time left, you have to prioritize your thoughts, I would think.
