I work by the principle of "Say what you mean and mean what you say," mainly because it's the easiest an most straightforward way of communicating with others. It's honest, it builds trust, and there are no ulterior motives behind it. Doing anything else seems like it would take so much more effort. This is why it confuses me so much that people find it so difficult to do, even though it seems like an easy solution to a lot of interpersonal relationship problems. I guess I understand human communication as much as the birds do.
