This strip was originally supposed to be about extremely dark chocolate, because the feelings Terry expresses here are my own as far as that goes (seriously, get some 75% or more cocoa chocolate from a health food place and tell me it doesn't). Unfortunately, when I wrote the comic, I momentarily forgot that chocolate is toxic to birds, and the darker the chocolate the more toxic it is to them. So I changed it to stale bread, because everybody seems to love to throw that to birds. Of course, even though it isn't toxic to them, bread isn't really that great for birds either. I think the strip worked better when it was about chocolate, but this is all I could think of today, so here it is.
