There are just some things that you have to do when you have no experience doing something. You just have to wing it, to make it up as you go along, to come up with new terms for things that you don’t know. But it makes it all more worthwhile. It makes it yours. It makes it feel like you are doing it.

Then you realize that in order to continue, you desperately need help from someone else, and you ask people who actually know things.
