I was listening to Says You last week, and there was a question about the phrase “to eat crow.” It means what Terry says. The given derivation for this phrase, taken straight from the book they got the answer from, was stated simply, “Crow tastes awful.” I’m sure this is something that Lewis is quite depressed about, so I decided not to show him in today’s strip. Instead, he gets licked by Terry. Terry obviously sustained no injuries, but I can only imagine what Lewis did to him.
