Mimicry

Crows and ravens are very good mimics. Ravens are especially good, and have appeared in Charles Dickens’ Barnaby Rudge and, of course, Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven, which was inspired by the Charles Dickens’ novel. Crows are quite good at it, too, and I could only imagine that Lewis would be quite polite about it. I don’t think it would matter how polite you were, however, because people would probably still be freaked out if a bird tried to speak to them.
