Red Nectar

I was reminded recently of the futility of adding red color to nectar in hummingbird feeders, or buying red nectar from the store. One, some think that the red dye might be harmful to the birds, though there's no definitive proof of that. Two, it's completely unnecessary, as they're attracted to the color of the feeder itself, not the nectar. Three, buying nectar from the store is a complete waste of money, as it's very easy to make yourself with a little water and sugar. Four, Tina finds it insulting, which should be a good enough reason for anybody to avoid it.
